Port Administration of Lázaro Cárdenas SA de CV, have implemented a quality management system based on the requirements of the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008, a tool that allows us to know our customer expectations, establish procedures to ensure that all the services provided directly know their needs and to identify mechanisms for continuous improvement of processes and services offered.

Besides have implemented an environmental management system, under the requirements of the international standard iso 14001:2004, which allows us to identify the environmental aspects generated by our activities in order to establish the plan of operational control over them and avoid damage or alter the environment. Since 2004 we have built such systems which allow port´s activities, applying control actions for the protection of the environment with strict adherence to the requirements of our customers, resulting integrated system of quality management and environment.

Code PBIP

The Port Administration of Lazaro Cardenas in compliance to the implementation of the International Code for the Protection of Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS Code), in the year 2004 was received by the General Coordination of Ports and Merchant Marine, its Declaration of Compliance (DCIP). Also in 2010 renewed the declaration.

ISO 28000

ISO 28000 is an international standard for security management in the supply chain. It offers organizations working within that depend on the logistics industry, a structure that identifies critical aspects in ensuring the security of its supply chain.

Clean industry

The APILAC is in the process of endorsement of clean industry certification for a further period, by virtue of having completed the action plan derived from the environmental auditing practiced in their processes and facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, based on the Article 26 of Regulations of the General Law of Ecological Equilibrium and Environmental Protection in the Field of Environmental Audit.
